Rules (under construction)

Our first rule is the most important:

WE are a group. That means, we communicate. All players MUST have some kind of communication tool (AIM, YIM, MSN), and email. This also means, that these "tools" are used. And, these "tools" are to be used properly, and not to im "sooper sekrit" drama ridden crap.

This is an unique kind of rpg, and as you may have noticed, we don't have the traditional application, or application process. This has been painfully deliberated, and if you do not agree with our process, this game may not be for you.

Posting is essential to this game. If you don't have the time, don't apply. We've seen too many people that have put in amazingly thought out applications, and then get tied up with other games and hardly ever post. We understand that real life comes first, however, we'd like to think that our game is important to you. If you're just looking for someplace to kill your boredom when other games slack, this game is not for you.

Each puppeteer (mun) must create a user journal for each of his/her characters. How it is maintained is completely up to the player. The journal must contain a character profile. The profile must give personality, quirks, weaknesses, strengths, family relations, and a short personal history. We also ask that:
Each character has 5 memories, 10 secrets or facts people don't generally know about them and a list of 5 songs that fit them and why.

We realize that situations arise and drama can happen, we ask that these problems be settled in character. We also ask that the mods are notified of these difficulties. If the problem happens to be with one of the mods, please inform the other of the problem. We all are adults in this game, so I personally expect situations to be handled with maturity. We have a "no drama" policy, which means the mods are prepared, and have a system to deal with such difficulties. It will be posted here shortly.

NO GODMODING! This means, you do not have the right to tell another person how to play their character. Yes, we allow for character development, and talking things through--and we realize there can be a fine line between this and godmodding. Here's what we believe: if a person feels that another is being "pushy" about what he/she sees as "canon" or demands that you play a character a certain way, you maybe a victim of godmodding. There is another godmodding situation: No supremely powerful beings. That is just nonsense, and very difficult for other characters to interact with. Be reasonable.

As for what is "canon": We all have different interpretations of what JKR has written. DEEPLY UNDERSTAND this point. Some people may even have similar interpretations (which is what we are striving for in this game). However, there may be times when interp doesn't mesh well, and again, we need to be adults in this situation. Once more, the mods have created a system of dealing with this difficulty.
