How it's played
Information:

This is a unique new RPG that will attempt to bridge the gap between the canon, slash, and crack Harry Potter role playing worlds. Elysium and Elysium Fields are respectively are the canon world and the "dream" world. The canon game attempts to follow the lives of the Marauders and the Hogwarts students of their era. The "dream world" is where the djinn sweep their victims off to, and there, Most ANYTHING can happen.

Elysium is where Voldemort's strength is gathering, and he and his followers are preparing their sack on London. At Hogwarts, life goes on as usual, and no one is aware of the djinn's presence. There are vague memories of strange dreams, but most of the possessed are too confused by the "dreams" and have little more than vague (fuzzy) memories about what happened in their nightly visions. Eventually, the possess will gather and speak of their so called "memories", and Dumbledore will be involved.

The Possessions:
The characters that wish to be possessed (or in other words want to be part of the "dream world" will post their wishes on the thread that is located HERE. The djin can only move with the help of their host, however, they can move "through" (without complete possession)other characters in order to get at their intended victim. The only way another character can become possessed is through direct contact--usually by a kiss. A touch, a simple pat on the back, just won't cut it.

The djin, can be passed along through physical contact:
1. The spirit can travel through other characters without taking possession by a simple touch. They can move around almost at will, however, they cannot fully take possession unless that physical contact is by a kiss. The djin are well aware of this, and will move about to make sure that possession does happen.

The "dream world" is the incorporeal world that the dijin whisk character off to, leaving behind a "sleeping" individual. Elysium Fields is our "dream world." Here, as we stated earlier, Most anything can happen. We ask that this site stays friends locked, and even then, warnings and cuts must be placed on the posts. We also ask that the players stay away from illegal activities, and act in an appropriate manner.
Our processes are simple and very deliberated.

We do not go "day by day" in this rpg, but we do have a weekly time calendar. That means, that during one week in real time, a week will pass in the rpg. Any threads can happen any time between Sunday and Saturday (in rpg time). At the end of each week, there will be a summary posted, and you will be asked to wrap up your threads.

There are exceptions to this, such as: if a thread may be carried on into the next week for plot. We ask for your discretion on this, and we do not wish it to happen all that often.

Drama Llama situations:

There are many different kinds of "drama" that can occur with this kind of an on line role playing game. Hopefully, our application process will do away with a few of those:
The "I don't get along with the (put character name in here)" syndrome. Though, this still may happen. In that case:
1. Inform a mod of the difficulty.
2. The mod will ask questions of both parties. (ie: How do you see the character relationship?)
3. The mod will act as a liaison between the two parties until a solution can be found: usually it this can be achieved by asking both players to be flexible.
4. If this cannot be achieved, and drama continues, one or both players will be asked to leave.

The "I don't like the (character name)'s mun.
1. Unfortunately, there are personality clashes at times. The same rules apply as the above in this situation.

The "He says, she said" crap.
Just don't. Don't do it. It will not be tolerated.
